And once you do get around to picking out the right vaping products, you will then encounter even more questions once you actually vape. You might wonder why your e-juice doesn’t taste the way you expected it to or how you go about fixing an e-cigarette that is constantly leaking. Whatever the case, you shouldn’t get frustrated by it! Part of the fun of vaping is that it takes some time to learn about it and that there is always someone in the vaping community that is more than willing to help.
We can’t provide you with all of the answers to the questions you have about vaping, but we can definitely answer some of the most common questions that first-time vapers have. Hopefully, it will help you to enjoy your early vaping experiences and encourage you to educate yourself even more with regards to vaping.
Here are the answers to 8 of the most common questions that are asked by people who are vaping for the first time…
1. What kind of e-cigarette should I purchase?
This question is kind of difficult to answer definitively, since everyone will find an e-cigarette that works best for them over time. Some people prefer to start off with disposable e-cigarettes just to get a sense of what vaping is all about before purchasing rechargeable e-cigarettes, while others jump headfirst into vaping with the rechargeable models that are available.
You need to determine which e-cigarette makes you the most comfortable, because it is going to determine what your first vaping experiences will be like. You also want to make sure you don’t get in over your head. Sub ohm vaping is great for experienced vapers, but it’s not something you should try if you’re a newbie. It’s all about finding which e-cigarette suits your needs.
If you are confused, you can always visit a vape shop like Aspen Valley Vapes to get the information you need to have when selecting the e-cigarette that is best for you.
2. How much nicotine should be in my e-juice?
Are you a smoker looking to try and use e-cigarettes to cut back on smoking cigarettes? If so, you might want to consider using an e-juice with a slightly elevated nicotine level, especially if you are used to smoking more than a pack of cigarettes per day.
Nicotine levels vary greatly and there is a range of levels that you can choose from. If you have used nicotine in the past, you might need a higher level, but if you haven’t or if you have never had nicotine at all, you can invest in e-juices without nicotine in them. Many people use e-cigarettes to wean themselves off nicotine, and if this is your goal, you should choose the lowest nicotine level possible and start there.
Otherwise, choose whichever nicotine level does the trick for you. Again, your favorite vape shop will be able to help you out with picking the right e-juice.
3. Why isn’t my e-cigarette delivering enough vapor to me?
After you have been vaping for a few days, you might start to realize that you’re not getting as much vapor delivered to your mouth as you were when you first started. This is actually normal and a sign that you need to make an adjustment with your e-cigarette.
More often than not, a reduction in the amount of vapor in an e-cigarette will show you that you have an old or dirty coil that needs to be replaced. By inserting a new coil into your e-cigarette, you should be able to resume vaping normally. Less vapor may also be produced when your e-cigarette’s battery is dying, so consider either charging your e-cigarette or replacing it once the vapor starts to die down.
4. Is it just me, or does this e-juice taste nothing like what you would expect?
You just bought a delicious new e-juice that you can’t wait to vape with, but once you do, you realize that it tastes stale or burnt. What gives? You probably have an issue with your coil, and you need to clean your e-cigarette right away to get your e-juice tasting good again.
Most e-cigarettes come with instructional manuals that show how to clean them properly. You can also use the internet to find out how to clean the coil in your e-cigarette. If the problem persists, though, you might need to replace your coil altogether. It’s the only way to fix the problem with taste.
5. What is that feeling on the back of my throat?
Do you get an overwhelming sensation on the back of your throat when you vape? It’s called a throat hit and it’s pretty normal, but it can be a lot to take for some people. Fortunately, there are ways to reduce it. E-juices that include high levels of propylene glycol, better known as PG, produce more throat hits than those that don’t.
To some degree, you will need to deal with throat hits when you vape. It comes with the territory. But you can reduce them if they bother you that much simply by selecting a different e-juice or, in some cases, by choosing not to take as many hits throughout the course of a day. Through trial and error, you will be able to find what works for you.
6. Why does the battery in my e-cigarette keep dying?
The batteries in e-cigarettes, just like the batteries in just about anything, are not going to last you forever. So it’s a good idea to invest in a backup battery if you plan on vaping regularly. You should also charge your battery correctly on a regular basis.
You are going to want to be careful with your battery at all times, because many of the scary stories that spread about e-cigarette batteries are the result of misuse. By caring for your battery and replacing it when necessary, you can improve your overall experience with vaping.
7. Is there anything I can do to make my e-cigarette stop leaking?
There are a variety of things that can cause an e-cigarette to leak. In some cases, the O-rings inside of your e-cigarette may be missing or damaged. In others, your tank might be tightened too much. Your e-juices could be doing damage to your tank, and simply overfilling your tank can also cause a leak.
If you are able to diagnose the problem, you can usually fix a leak quickly and easily. The key is catching it before it does any damage and making an adjustment to stop a leak from taking place.
8. Is vaping safer than smoking?
Legally, we cannot tell you whether or not vaping is better for you than smoking. There isn’t enough conclusive evidence out there to say one way or the other.
But we can tell you that there is new research being done at all times on vaping and that you should make an effort to read up on vaping every few weeks. Researchers are constantly finding out new things about vaping, and you should be able to make an educated decision about whether or not vaping is for you by reading up on it.
By putting these answers to good use, we hope you learn to love vaping every bit as much as we do…
