My name is Gary and I am the newest addition to Aspen Valley Vapes. I wanted to join one of the fastest growing industries with one of the fastest growing companies. My biggest issue was not knowing much about the industry, the liquids, and the hardware. I’m new to vaping, as many of you that come to our site are. I want to share some of my research with you, so you can understand and learn as I am.
There are a lot of customers that ask, what is in E-Liquid? Here is the answer to your questions.
E-Liquid is the mixture of the following ingredients:
Propylene Glycol also known as PG, is also an ingredient used in food, Medicine, cosmetic products, inhalers, preservatives, and medical oxygen containers, among other things.
What is the role of PG in E-Liquid? Superior flavor production, longer shelf life since its made in such large quantities, very thin liquid generally increases the life of your coil. PG is also responsible for the “throat hit” provided by certain e-liquids. E-liquids that have a higher PG content will produce more of a throat hit.
Dangers of PG: The FDA has deemed PG “generally recognized as safe” and “shows no evidence of being carcinogen or of being genotoxic. This is fantastic to hear; however, a tiny percentage of people have an allergy to PG. If you do have a PG allergy, a higher VG e-liquid would be a better choice.
Vegetable Glycerin, also known as VG, is also used in food, sweeteners, medicine, cosmetic products, and soap.
What Is The Role of VG in E-Liquid? Superior vapor production and reduced throat hit. The higher the VG content of an e-liquid, the more vapor production that you can expect. Also, if you’re looking for a smoother vape with a reduced throat hit, e-liquids that have higher VG will be a great option.
Dangers Of VG: VG is used in excess all around the world safely, and is considered to have an extremely low toxicity when inhaled, ingested or on contact with skin.
The flavoring in E-Liquid depends on the manufacturer, but most of companies use either natural or artificial flavorings . Some vendors go as far as making their own extracts. Some of the flavors taste incredible like taffy, strawberry milk, and bubble gum, which are a few of my favorites. Its incredible what some of these e-liquid specialists can do with flavoring.
Nicotine In E-Liquid:
Almost all E-Liquid vendors in the United States include the option of having nicotine mixed into the E-Liquid. Lately the most popular nicotine levels have been 3mg and 6mg, but some e-liquid manufactures still produce higher nicotine contents, such as 12mg and 18mg. Of course there is also the option of 0mg of nicotine, and these e-liquids do not contain any nicotine.
Of course everyone here at Aspen Valley Vapes have been informing me about all of the ins and outs of vaping, but I wanted to share my experience with you, as I know a lot of you are in the same boat as me. If you have any questions about e-liquid, the contents, which nicotine level would be good for you, or vaping in general, please leave a comment down below and we would be happy to help you!
